Review | The Bridge Happy Hour

Gerrae Cotton | Bougie Foodie

This newly renovated restaurant features a prime “Black” top shelf happy hour.  Hennessy, Grey Goose, and 1800 are all on special for $5 and for $2 more they offer Patron.  I couldn’t help but to order a patron margarita and after the second one I was good for the rest of the evening.  They also have a small food selection that includes chicken, steak bites and lamb nachos.  I was enticed by the lamb nachos although chicken wings are my go to.  The homemade tortilla chips were fried perfectly.  The feta and peppers that topped the nachos fit well with the meat and chips.  It wasn’t as heavy as I thought it would be.  The lamb was a bit too tough for my liking and a little on the fatty side.  If I had more tender pieces I would’ve really enjoyed this dish.  I was being adventurous but I should’ve kept it simple and ordered the chicken tenders and fries like my dinning buddy.  The Bridge hit this one right on the nose.  The fries were perfectly seasoned and the chicken strips were crispy on the outside and juicy in the center.  The BBQ sauce had a bit of a soy sauce tang to it and it coated the chicken wonderfully.  The Bridge is definitely a new hot spot that will receive a ton of attention in the near future.
